How To Travel America is a book and website dedicated to making your visit to the United States the easiest and most pleasant possible. In both the book and on the website, we offer a wide variety of resources and information on the practical aspects of traveling to and within the U.S.A. – a wealth of information for the international visitor, and useful to everyone.
Why? We realized that there is a great deal of information on how to travel to Europe or Asia or other places of the world; that there are car-rental and hotel-booking websites; and that there are hundreds of guidebooks to specific U.S. and world-wide destinations. On our international travels, we were frequently asked “how-to” questions about the U.S.A. Thus, we felt international visitors might find basic how-to information about traveling to America useful – all the little details which can make travel infinitely more enjoyable.
The book How To Travel America is not a destination guidebook. With a few exceptions, we do not recommend specific places to see or things to do in the U.S.A. Rather, our goal is to help you find information, and to help make your travels more rewarding.
